26-year-old South Chicago man is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries after being shot and wounded Tuesday night near the Dan Ryan Expressway, authorities said.
The victim was with friends in the 7900 block of South Wabash Avenue when a fight broke at about 9 p.m., police said.
As the victim started running away, he was shot multiple times but suffered graze wounds to the head and his upper back, police said.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, fire department spokesman Quention Curtis said. Police said his condition had improved.
