Do you know a teenager 16 or 17 years old who
would enjoy and benefit from a positively life changing experience this summer?
The Encampment for Citizenship (EFC) prepares young people to be informed,
responsible and effective global citizens through experiential learning and
living in a diverse, democratic community. The 2014 program will take place on
the campus of University of Illinois at Chicago, June 30th - July
20th.
The EFC is a non-profit organization that
conducts residential summer programs for young people of widely diverse
backgrounds and nations. It provides youth with a compelling experience in
democratic living, with emphasis on critical thinking and social action. Through
this transformative experience, young people become more informed and sensitive
about the key issues of our time and committed to active citizenship and
involvement in their community as justice seekers.
