Speak up: Should Illinois embrace clean energy?

Organizing for Action

Illinois has a chance to lead in the fight against climate change right now.

President Obama's Clean Power Plan gives states -- including Illinois -- the chance to invest in clean energy, lower energy costs for consumers, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth.

But it means governors across the country, like Governor Rauner, need to take this opportunity.

Our partners at the Sierra Club are delivering a petition to Governor Rauner asking him to fully support and implement the Clean Power Plan in Illinois. If you agree that clean energy is good for Illinois' future, add your name today.

Illinois is already benefiting from clean energy. According to Clean Energy Trust, Illinois' clean energy industries already employ more than 100,000 people, and Illinois families and businesses have saved millions on electricity costs. Continuing that progress is a no-brainer.

Big polluters are knocking at the governor's door too -- they'd rather have him ignore the Clean Power Plan, or worse, join a lawsuit trying to block it entirely.

Governor Rauner is deciding right now whether to move forward with clean energy and the Clean Power Plan, or stick up for big polluters and special interests.

Your voice could make the difference. Add your name to be heard:
