DETAILS OF THE SCANDAL TONIGHT - YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE...[OR BOTH] 8/7 @ 6:30 - ENGLEWOOD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH - 6400 S. STEWART

Dear Citizens Coalition On The Grand Crossing Railroad Project,

Take action on this disgraceful, disrespectful string of events.

Gangbanging without a gun - doubling/tripling railyard/trucking traffic will kill more of us with pollution than shootings will.

Follow the money being brokered under the table.  Who's our champion? Where's our cut?

Why haven't our Alderman made sure homeowners get paid at least as much for their HOMES as the City is being paid for its VACANT land?  Your voice is needed to challenge the Chicago Planning Commission approval of the sale of certain Englewood land to Norfolk Southern Railroad.

FURTHER:
What exactly are the 300 local jobs Mayor Emanuel is promising the black community from this massive development?  A few warehouse jobs don't compare to the billions of dollars in profit the railyard/intermodal vendors will be making.  And why should taxes from the poorest neighborhoods be paid into TIFs for businesses that will only benefit billionaires?

Same old tired story.  Same old sad joke.  Real jobs, careers, contracts in our neighborhood are distributed to others while we're laughed at.  When will enough be enough?
